Today, the media was invited to tour the Field House, which will be open this afternoon for basketball practice. Classes will resume tomorrow. Below are photos of the Field House, please note that all the signage is not complete and will be hung on the walls in the next few weeks.
The Green Bay Area Public School District and Preble High School wish to thank Paul Davis National and all the contractors for their work since August 8. We also want to send a big thank to the community and our students, staff and families for your support, understanding and patience through the restoration and renovation.
The Field House looks amazing and Preble is excited to be hosting its first game on Tuesday evening.
Reminder: School will be in session for Preble High School students on Friday, October 31, 2014.
As the construction work begins to come to a close on the Field House, please note the following traffic changes. Starting today, Danz Avenue will again be a two-way street. Parking will be reserved for Preble staff along the west-side of the road, facing south. Tomorrow, Wednesday, October 29, 2014, the Danz Avenue gates will be closed during student lunch periods between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The buses will once again be parking along Danz Avenue and Newberry Avenue. All other traffic patterns will remain the same.

The Field House is still scheduled to open by November 25, 2014. Here are some photos of the weight room and Field House.
The first week of school at Preble High School was a great success. With school back in session, Preble administration and staff will communicate with families and students through its normal communication channels.
The Preble Restoration website will continue; however, the posts will be limited to information regarding the continued work on the Field House.
To ensure a safe and orderly arrival and dismissal of students, please note the following:
– Effective until the completion of the Field House repairs, Danz Avenue will be a one-way street – northbound – between Newberry Avenue and Deckner Avenue. There is no parking along Danz, as this is reserved for staff.
– In the morning the circle will be open. Only vehicles in the right lane should stop to drop-off students. Vehicles in the left lane should not stop to let students out due to safety concerns. When exiting the circle, vehicles in the left lane must turn left and vehicles in the right lane turn right.
– At the end of the school day the circle will be closed. Vehicles may park on both sides of Deckner Avenue along the length of the school to pick-up students. There is no student pick-up on Danz Avenue between the school and the stadium.
